Inspired by the French model of management of natural parks, Xianju National Park aims to define a new management model for protected areas, which combines both conservation of natural and cultural heritage and development issues for populations. This documentary is all about those topics. How important it is to preserve biodiversity and cultural legacy in such a mystical area. This project was one of the longest I’ve worked on. After almost 2 years of shooting sessions, I also discovered how important it was to observe nature at the right period.
